ABOUT THE  COMEDIANS

CASEY CORBIN

Even in a pandemic, Casey has managed to keep his career moving forward. In January of 2021 he appeared in the Just For Laughs produced Humour Resources with Jon Dore. Also in the episode were the Lucas Brothers and Nikki Glaser. The show aired nationwide on CBC. Now it can be seen streaming on CBC Gem. With 4 comedy albums on Spotify, Casey had a breakthrough year as a Spotify Artist. Here are some of his Spotify numbers

Listeners: 108.5k, Streams: 360.3k, Hours: 16.2k, and was heard in 88 countries.

Pre-pandemic (2017-2019) The last few years have been fantastic for Casey Corbin. With highlights that include performing at a sold-out National Arts Centre in Ottawa, Canada opening for Mr. D himself, Gerry Dee. Having a 9-show run at Just For Laughs Toronto festival, JFL 42. This included 4 sold-out shows at the Royal Theatre sharing the stage with friend Rory Scovel and one time with a surprise special guest, Amy Schumer. Worked with his comedy hero, the late great Norm MacDonald for 6 sold-out shows in Calgary. Opening for Canadian comedy legend Ron James. As well as competing in the 8th annual Brantford Comedy Festival and winning its grand prize of $10,000. If that wasn’t enough, he launched a wrestling/ comedy podcast with Never Sleeps Network that airs weekly on iTunes/Spotify titled Talk’N Wrestling.

Before 2017 Casey Corbin had accomplished plenty. An hour special on the Comedy Network, The Comedy Network Presents: Casey Corbin Comedy Now, Uncensored. Along with that is a half-hour special that aired on CTV called Comedy Now. He’s also been seen on CBC’s Halifax Comedyfest and even Comedy At Club 54. (but that was a long time ago)

He’s a regular on SiriusXM Just For Laughs Canada and has also been heard on CBC One on Laugh Out Loud. He has performed at the 25th Anniversary of Just For Laughs and toured with them in support of Harland Williams on his 2005 Tasty Treats Tour.

MC DK Phan

People often ask – what does DK stand for? DK stands for honour, respect, discipline, and a good work ethic. But mostly I just tell jokes and do voices.

I went to Ryerson University for IT, graduated, got an IT job, and spent a lot of my adult life telling people to try turning their computers off and on again - on a professional level. A couple months into my first tech job, I realized that this wasn’t the career for me, so I only stuck with it for 12 more years before leaving the industry to freelance as a voice talent and stand-up comic.

For over 10 years, I’ve performed comedy all across North America. Over the course of my career, I’ve played stages including Absolute Comedy, Rose Theatre, Rogers TV, showcased for the Just for Laughs festival and produced shows throughout the GTA.

I have a professional home studio where I record and edit corporate eLearning and explainer voiceovers - sparing clients from death by PowerPoint. With my technical background and past experience working with kids, I can make turning your computer off and on again sound engaging to 7th graders (or whatever you call your sys admins).

That's my autobiography. In case you're still wondering, DK Phan is short for Dang Khoa Huynh-Phan but the .com for that was taken.

Featuring Greg Palone

Greg Palone is an accounting student with electric on s-age performances. With over 100 million online views including appearances on CBS, he's making a name for himself across the country.
