STEVE RAWLES OF LEGENDARY CALGARY BASED PUNK BAND BELVEDERE ANSWERS FIVE QUESTIONS FOR THE FANNATICKETS' FANNABLOG.

I first met Steve Rawles years ago on a Warped Tour when I was selling merch for another legendary 90's punk band Jersey. He was kind, available, had a great advice and had already figured out how to tour the world in a completely DIY manner.

Everyone in our crew had nothing but nice things to say about him. We all admired his work ethic and wondered if we could do the same. Few in the punk world have the drive that he has, and even fewer have what it takes to still be working this hard, not only for themselves, but in service of the music they love.

Event today, as I write this, he's announcing a full tour with Mesa California's Authority Zero and Germany's Melonball and took the time to answer Five Questions for our blog.

The tour hits Barrie, Ontario September 22nd and will be headlining SKATE OR DIVE in Hamilton on September 20th. Early Bird tickets are currently available for both events and can be purchased below.

BIO:

Canadian skate-punk legends Belvedere barely need an introduction. They are heroes of fast, furious, melodic punk, who’ve never lost sight of their roots.Formed in 1995 and originally never even meant to play a live show, the trailblazing band from Calgary, Alberta quickly grew a reputation on the underground punk scene for their blazing fast speed and melodic vocals. They've toured to 35+ countries and played over 2000 shows.

2020 marked the 25th year of the band’s history, but since all of their tours weremoved to 2021; the band felt the need to write and record their 6th full-length instalment, Hindsight Is The Sixth Sense. The album features a furious mix of old and new. The new direction in songwriting is attributed to new members Dan Wollach on guitar and Ryan Mumby on bass. The all-familiar speed, the riffs, the insightful lyrics and singalong harmonies are all still there thanks to drummer, Casey Lewisand lead singer & founder, Steve Rawles.

“Hindsight Is The Sixth Sense” comprises of 13 new tracks and is released on Thousand Islands Records in North America and Lockjaw Records in Europe and the UK.

In 2022 and 2023, Belvedere made up everything that was cancelled/postponed (and then some). 2024 will be more of the same with the band touring to the US, Canada, Europe, Japan and Australia.
