Living Dead Girl kicks off "Infectious Tour"

The momentum Living Dead Girl is moving at as a young independent band that released their first album in the middle of a pandemic is unbelievable, until you hear it for

yourself. A seamless hybrid of goth, rock, and pop punk, Living Dead Girl has distinctly created their own genre that markets to the masses.

After filling 2022 with international tours including festival performances, Living Dead Girl attacked 2023 with two NEW ALBUMS, new music

videos and months of international touring! Now they have come into 2024 swinging with new single “Ugly”, a featured on SiriusXM Octane TestDrive, and more touring in both the US and

Canada.

Living Dead Girl is force to be reckoned with, and is “the future of heavy music”(Underground Nation).

FIVE QUESTIONS WITH MOLLY RENNICK OF LIVING DEAD GIRL

WHEN AND WHERE DID YOUR LOVE OF MUSIC FORM?

I grew up in a household that was always listening to rock music so it was always around me; I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t singing and playing “concert” as a kid!

WHAT WAS THE FIRST CONCERT YOU WENT TO?

Hilary Duff when I was eight years old!

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST “BIG SHOW”? OR YOUR FIRST SHOW EVER?

I had performed many times as a kid/teenager both solo and with a choir, but my first show with a band behind me was when I was eighteen years old, a local bar was having a 90s themed night and were assigning local bands a 90s artist to cover. We were asked to do Marilyn Manson so I put in a white contact lens and performed 5 Manson songs to a packed bar. It was a blast!

WHAT WAS YOUR WORST SHOW OR FUNNIEST SHOW MEMORY?

We were booked at a “venue” (I can’t even call it that!) where we pulled up for load in and there was a guy literally building a wooden stage in the backyard behind the bar. We’re like

“ummm is THAT where we’re playing? Will it be finished on time? Is that SAFE??” - the floor was so creaky it would move as we walked across it, the sound was awful, the sound guy drunkenly heckled us and even told us our band would be “better if we had a

male vocalist”, and then the cops arrived because of noise complaints - turns out this venue legally was in a residential area and wasn’t permitted to have concerts outdoors, at all. It was such a strange and angering experience at the time that has now left us with a funny story.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOUR BAND?

Album #2 is being recorded in Nashville later this year in between two tours! We’re touring in the US in July, recording in August, then doing a Canada run in September, including headlining Sudbury Indie Creature Kon. Then back to the studio in October. It’s a busy year!
