KRISTIN NICHOLLS BAND DROPS NEW SINGLE AND RETURNS TO HAMILTON

Kristin Nicholls Plays Stonewalls in Hamilton, March 2nd

As if Hamilton Alt-Country-Guru Kristin Nicholls and his band weren’t busy enough. After  dropping a brand new video for the single 'You Make Me Feel' and announcing a home town performance on March 2nd at the legendary Stonewalls with The Band Caves and Doses, he still took the time to answer five questions for our Fannablog.

Don't miss this event. Get tickets below.

HOW DID YOU DISCOVER YOUR LOVE  OF MUSIC?

I grew up in church so I was always around music. I started piano when I was 5, but it wasn't until I picked up my big brothers guitar at 12 that I fell in love with making music... it also seemed much cooler to me at the time.

WHAT WAS THE FIRST CONCERT YOU WENT TO?

I honestly don't remember what my first concert was, but last year I went to see Old Dominion.  As we've made the transition from rock to country it was so inspiring seeing such a great country show. They are incredible songwriters & hearing all the country fans singing their hearts out was so inspiring.  The openers were 3 different artists under the umbrella of "whiskey jams" a twice a week show that happens in the heart of Nashville that we had a chance to check out this past summer while we were there writing & recording.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST “BIG SHOW”? OR YOUR FIRST SHOW EVER?

Over the years we've had the opportunity to play quite a few big & memorable shows.... I'd have to say playing Copps Colosseum in front of 10,000 people in our hometown was quite memorable

WHAT WAS YOUR WORST SHOW OR FUNNIEST SHOW MEMORY?

A funny memory for me on stage was years ago when I did a stage dive with guitar in hand & was body surfing in the crowd (yes, I had a wireless guitar pack) I kept playing the song until I got dropped on my head. I quickly recovered & have only slight brain damage to this day.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR KRISTIN NICHOLLS BAND?

We just had our second county single picked up by SiriusXM top of the country which is an incredible honour & big deal for us as a band.  Enjoying the success of the video for "You Make Me Feel" that just dropped. We're finishing up 2 more tracks with our producer Julius Butty at Arc Studios in Hamilton.  We're heading back to Nashville to finish up 2 more songs down there as well. Looking forward to playing more festivals this summer & making a name for ourselves in our new genre of country music!
