ABOUT I CAN’T RƎMƎMBƎR:

I CAN’T RƎMƎMBƎR are a four-piece metal outfit from Cambridge, Ontario who are putting the work in.  If you thought the DIY mentality had died in independent heavy metal,  you haven't caught I CAN’T RƎMƎMBƎR. The band itself is a bit of a mystery, but the sentiment of the band harkens back to a time when formalities meant very little. If you're a heavy music lover that likes to support indie bands, you could do a lot worse than I CAN’T RƎMƎMBƎR.

Make sure to catch them April 5th at Tail Of The Junction w/ Feyn Entity, Mousetrap, Dead Karma & CQC. Get tickets HERE of by clicking the show poster below.

FIVE QUESTIONS WITH ANDREW NEIL OF I CAN’T RƎMƎMBƎR

WHICH MEMBER OF THE BAND ARE WE TALKING TO?

Andrew Neil, 25, guitarist.

WHEN AND WHERE DID YOUR LOVE OF MUSIC FORM?

As a band many of us played different instruments growing up and taking lessons but we all have different inspirations. Personally I saw Billy Talent in Toronto when their second album came out with my brother Ryan and that made me love music. I played piano for many years but as I got older I gradually got into heavier music and would play whatever guitars or basses that I could get my hands on.

WHAT WAS THE FIRST CONCERT YOU WENT TO?

The first concert I remember going to was Pink Floyd. I’m not sure what all band members were playing at that time but it would’ve been in the early 2000’s. I just remember the theatrical stuff that they did for the songs Money and Time but I was less than 5 years old I think.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST “BIG SHOW”? OR YOUR FIRST SHOW EVER?

The band was fortunate enough to play an OddWhale Events show in our hometown of Cambridge last year and it felt really cool because we were one of eight different artists playing the show. Also thanks to Brian Scheid for getting us our first bar show in Waterloo, it was something we’ll always look back on and it felt like a long time coming for our band because my brother Ryan and I have been playing some of our songs for many years before we started playing shows.

WHAT WAS YOUR WORST SHOW OR FUNNIEST SHOW MEMORY?

I don’t think we’ve necessarily had a worst show but a funny memory I have looking back on now is from a show in Kitchener at The Union last September. My brother Ryan who is our drummer broke through the skin of the bass drum mid song. At the moment I wasn’t sure what was going to end up happening but he decided to flip his bass drum around and we played the rest of the set. The sound guys at the venue were awesome and for us as a band it was a moment of perseverance.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOUR BAND?

We have a list of shows already booked for 2025 and are hoping to get on a festival or two this year so keep an eye out on instagram for posters. For song releases, we have a 2 song EP coming out within the next couple months and a 10 song debut album in the summer available on all platforms.
