July Talk took the independent music world by storm in 2012 and earned themselves a career that earned them Juno Awards, multiple gold records, and legions of fans around the world. The band has no doubt taken its place among Canadian indie royalty as one of the most unique offerings North America has.
Aside from July Talk, the band's drummer Danny Miles has been making a name for himself in the independent Canadian Hip-Hop scene for years now but has recently picked up momentum after releasing his first solo LP, Beautiful Music released in early 2024 on Urbnet.
Beautiful Music is an all instrumental love letter to the golden ages of hip-hop with an alt hip-hop twist. The album quickly caught the attention of music fans regardless of genre.

Danny Miles recently celebrated his follow up release, a new version of the critically acclaimed "Beautiful Music." Titled "Beautiful Music (The Ruined Version)," - This expanded edition features a collection of tracks featuring vocal collaborations from some of the most respected names in Canadian hip hop and alternative music. The Ruined Version features collaborations with artists such as Shad, Saukrates, Aquakultre, Kevin Drew of Broken Social Scene, Moka Only, Eamon McGrath, and more.
